ICT is Great Fun
We Love It
We have a network of computers and we use them all the time. We also have 2 whiteboards and we can use them in class groups.
We are taught how to use lots of programs. We can use our skills in our everyday work.
We have an INTRANET and we love our new web site. In fact we are really happy we are a Centre of Excellence for RM. Click here to visit their site.
We use digital cameras and scanners. In fact we think we are pretty cool with computers.

If you have access to the internet, there are a number of ways you can help your child to consolidate their learning during the summer holidays. The Plymouth Library Service have computers with internet access that are free of charge to use. Parents need to sign an agreement form for children under 15 to gain access. Use of their computers can then be booked in advance.

1. Log on to the Sherston Online website. The school has subscribed to this service and your child can pick from thousands of learning activities to complete in the coming weeks. They include numeracy, literacy and science activities, they take from 5 to 15 minutes to complete. Any scores saved whilst using this web-site, are automatically available to staff in school. The web-site address is www.sherstononline.co.uk and both the user name and password is thornbury.

2. Sign up for a free trial of EducationCity. The children love this learning tool in school; it is a powerful tool as any misconceptions are corrected after any question that is answered incorrectly. They offer a free 10 day trial and the company will extend this if you do not sign up at the end of the two weeks. Should you wish to take out an annual subscription at the end of your trial, by using the reference SCHOOL you receive a reduction of £10 a year, which brings it down to about £19.95. The web-site address is www.educationcity.com

3. The BBC revisewise web-site has some excellent resources for both infants and junior pupils:
