Key Stage 1 Literacy

Oxford Reading Tree
Graded reading scheme introduced in Reception Class.
Colour coded ‘teddy’ with core vocabulary for each ORT level.
Daily practise at home as ideal.
Sight vocabulary tested using flashcards on a regular basis.
By Year 2, H/B children reading range of genres and other scheme books.
All children borrow a ‘Sharing Library Book’ on Friday.
