100 Square

Some Ideas for Using a 100 Square:

  • Cut up the number square and make it into a numberline.
  • Colour all the even numbers and odd numbers in two different colours.
  • Cut up the number square into pieces and get your child to put it back into a square.
  • Find the patterns and explain what they notice.
  • Count on and back in different amounts e.g. 6,16,26, or 3,6,9.
  • Play 'Guess My Number' - one person thinks of a number and the other person has to try and guess what it is by asking questions like 'is it over 50?' If it is you can cross out all numbers below 50.
