Science helps us understand about the world we live in.

At Thornbury we encourage children to be imaginative, creative and logical thinkers. Science is not just about accumulating knowledge, it’s about what scientists do – observing, exploring, testing ideas.

Each year group is allocated units of work to cover throughout an academic year, in line with the National Curriculum and the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). These modules include work about: Plants Animals Humans Materials Forces Electricity Earth and Beyond
